PCC Rock Creek - Building 7 Chem Lab

The improvements to this chemistry lab modernized the learning space to meet evolving industry, safety and sustainability needs. Part of a broader 2017 bond-funded effort, the scope included installation of new lab stations, replacement of the lab fume hoods and upgraded presentation technology. Replacing the hoods enhanced the lab’s safety, functionality and air quality for students. The lab station enhancements entailed new epoxy countertops, as well as upgrades to the plumbing, gas and electrical lines for each space. A new podium was also installed in the lab to meet PCC’s visual standards. Completed on an occupied campus, the project was carefully executed to minimize disruption to students.
