Pence Hires First Chief Operations Officer

Portland, OR – Pence Construction has hired Ted Jacobsen as Chief Operations Officer, a new position for the 70-year-old construction contracting firm. Jacobsen comes to Pence from Day CPM and before that had long tenures at Howard S. Wright a Balfour Beatty Company and Skanska Construction.

 

“We’re excited to welcome Ted to our team and continue our focus on customer service, team-building, and growth in the Pacific Northwest,” said co-owner, Paul Schulz.

 

As Chief Operations Officer Ted will oversee and direct all construction activities and operations personnel. His charge is to maintain Pence’s “best-in-class” contracting style as the firm continues to grow.

 

“I am looking forward to supporting a team that cares about each other and loves to build for their community,” Ted remarked.

 

Pence Construction, formerly LCG Pence Construction, is a general contracting firm in Portland and Salem owned by Paul Schulz and Dave Hays. In business since 1949, Pence has made its mark on Pacific Northwest construction with projects in multi-family housing, office K-12 education, senior living, hospitality and retail markets.
