Avamere Pacific Ridge

Avamere at Pacific Ridge works to meet the needs of seniors with psychiatric conditions, dementia, and other forms of cognitive impairment. Avamere at Pacific Ridge is one of the few skilled nursing facilities in the Pacific Northwest with a focus on behavioral health. To meet their growing need for more space and updated facilities Avamere contracted Pence to do a renovation and addition to their existing facility.

The renovation and addition included a new commercial kitchen, new reception desk, dining room, upgraded therapy room, 2 new nurse stations, 2 new med rooms, and a new laundry facility. All the common areas were freshly painted and resurfaced. Completed in 6 months, in 3 phases, in an occupied campus. Pence suggested and implemented the following value engineering (V/E) options for Avamere at Pacific Ridge: we reused the existing hydronic system and supplemented (where needed) ventilation with new split systems and fans. All the existing low voltage was traced and reused.
