Capitol Plaza Rehabilitation

The funding for this low income housing building was secured through the State Oregon Housing and Community Services Department, Low Income Housing Tax Credit program, and the Low Income Weatherization program.</P

A complete remodel of the seven story apartment building located in downtown Salem breathed new life into an aging structure. Pence vacated one floor at a time to reduce the disturbance to tenants, working around dozens of families and elderly residents who remained before and after their own units were complete.

Improvements to the plumbing, electrical and HVAC systems, plus all new exterior triple pane windows created a much-needed boon to the Plaza’s efficiency. New outdoor spaces and steel canopies put the finishing touches this urban dwelling.
