This brand new 95,500 SF building houses modern-day administrative client spaces and offices for the Oregon Department of Human Services (DHS), including about 200 staff members. It features a welcoming lobby that lets in lots of natural light and large conference rooms. Additionally, there are several private safe spaces for families to meet and a calming color palette throughout. The three-story structure co-locates DHS’ Child Welfare services and Self Sufficiency programs, which consolidated from several smaller, outgrown offices. There are a total of 288 parking places onsite and an outdoor plaza with landscaping, a bioswale and bridge that spans the water feature. This 5.5-acre campus and facility help meet East Multnomah County’s increasing demand for necessary social services.
