Montessa

The Civitas Montessa is a new apartment building in Portland, Oregon positioned on a challenging 100’ x 100’ lot. The Pence team worked within the tight constraints of the space itself by tackling practical challenges like subcontractor parking and lay-down space. The labor market of 2016 also presented hurdles with a high demand of subcontractors resulting in a tight labor market causing scheduling difficulties.

The project finished on time with 49 units, covered parking spaces and a residential common space available in the increasingly demanding Portland housing market. Residents enjoy full kitchens, AC ports and an inset Wi- Fi-ready IT box. The building is a pet-friendly community just blocks from the streetcar and bus lines boasting a 94 walk score and 98 bike score. Each beautiful unit features city views from eight foot windows, modern layouts, wood-style flooring and fullsized washers and dryers. The Civitas Montessa is urban living at its finest.
