Newberg High School Wellness Center
As part of a bond initiative, Pence provided CM/GC services for this school building transformation and renovation of the campus Wellness Center. Alongside academic improvements, the clinic remodel made critical mental health and medical resources more accessible to the district’s 4,200 students. In partnership with Providence Health, the center now offers free therapy services, medical exam rooms, and a volunteer-run resource center that supplies food and clothing to students in need. As part of the Wellness Collective, it fosters a supportive environment where students can access essential services regardless of whether they have insurance. By prioritizing both education and well-being, this project enabled the school to continue meeting the needs of its growing community for years to come.
This project also replaced and expanded an outdated career technical education (CTE) shop, creating a new 68,000-square-foot, two-story facility with modern classrooms, a science lab and a skybridge connecting it to the existing campus. Completed on an occupied campus in under a year and within budget, the upgrade enhances hands-on learning opportunities and provides a more functional space for students.
