Oregon College of Oriental Medicine

The Oregon College of Oriental Medicine project is a full seismic and interior upgrade of a century old, four story, historic un-reinforced masonry structure, with the addition of a 5th floor penthouse. The building has been known as the Globe Hotel, and more recently Import Plaza, and is located at 88 NW Davis Street in Portland. The new owner will be using the building for both
teaching of, and treatment with, traditional oriental medical techniques. Upgrades include an elevator, new stairwells, shear walls, restored or replaced windows, new storefront, classrooms, offices, rest rooms and penthouse offices with exterior deck.

The OCOM project incorporated Feng-Shui design, a LEED Gold certification and a high percentage of MWESB participation.
