PCC Rock Creek - Building 2 Welding Shop

The renovation of this welding shop modernized a vital training space to meet evolving educational and industry needs. Part of a broader bond-funded effort, the 7,490-square-foot upgrade introduced 58 welding booths, including three ADA-accessible stations, along with demand-based exhaust systems to enhance safety and reduce energy consumption. Each booth supports various welding types and includes space for larger projects and robotics training. Completed on an occupied campus, the project was carefully phased to allow early access to finished sections, minimizing disruption to instruction. The redesign improves flexibility, accessibility and hands-on learning, which reflect PCC’s commitment to student success and sustainability.
