Friendsview Sutton Terrace

This ground-up construction project was a five-story, 217,000-square-foot addition to Friendsview’s existing retirement campus, offering 98 modern apartment homes designed with resident personalization in mind. Each unit features custom finishes selected by future residents, along with spacious patios or balconies and full ADA accessibility. The building includes nine floor plans ranging from 1,170 to 1,400 square feet with both independent and assisted living accommodations. Key amenities include underground parking, the Cherry Street Bistro, a large outdoor courtyard with communal fire pits and generous community meeting spaces. 

Our team engaged with stakeholders regularly through virtual weekly resident meetings, ensuring transparency and alignment throughout construction. While the project was a success, valuable lessons emerged about the importance of challenging schedules and selecting subcontractors based on performance rather than cost alone. The result was a thoughtfully designed, resident-focused living environment that strengthened the community and enhanced quality of life for its new residents.
