As one of Portland Business Journal’s top ten most admired healthcare companies in Oregon, Avamere has high standards for its post-acute care facilities. Avamere Transitional Care of Salem is no exception.

Set on five acres of beautiful land, Avamere Transitional Care of Salem was created to support post-hospital rehabilitation and nursing services for the Salem and Keizer communities. The focus for this client was to create a comfortable environment for health and healing that includes modern technology and amenities. This sprawling campus with 72 units and an 80 bed skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility is a single story wood framed structure. More than just a building, Pence’s focus was on creating an atmosphere for healing patients and getting them back to their lives as soon as possible.

With 4,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor therapy space, bariatric care, rehabilitation, a commercial kitchen, and indoor/outdoor dining, this was one of Pence’s more versatile builds.
