David Douglas HS Aquatic Facility

The David Douglas Aquatics Center facility is a 15,600 square foot building featuring an 8 lane, 25 yard competition pool. The pool is designed to support competition swimming, water polo, and school and community swimming activities such as dive training, elementary education, and lap swim for all ages. The facility was constructed from Summer of 2013 through Spring of 2014. We exceeded the district’s request to turn over the facility prior to July 4th, 2014.

The new building was built directly adjacent to the existing old pool facility on the occupied high school campus. The site is within the jurisdiction of the city of Portland.
